Recipients of Most Valuable Player in Wednesday Night Men’s and Women’s A Grade Grand Finals will receive the newly named Clark Medal. The award has been created in honour of competition coordinator Alex Clark in recognition of 23 years of service at Warwick Stadium.
The committed sports coordinator has been a regular fixture on Wednesday nights, and also contributed to Thursday Nights Veterans League for 13 years. He championed an age-friendly, well run competition.
“Alex has made a significant contribution to our organisation. We wanted to ensure players and teams maintained the high standard of behaviour in the competition that Alex worked so hard to protect, so the medal is a fitting way to continue Alex’s legacy,” said Scott Joy, Director Operations of CCSRA.
